Greetings!
This past Monday, the 26th of Nov saw Golden gavel holding it’s LAST official meeting for 2018. There Might be an Extra meeting in December…we will see! Not only was the 26th the last official meeting, it was the first meeting at our new home, at least for the moment, with Pendo Energy Solutions, the host company of Woodlands Office Park Toastmasters. We look forward to making this our new home and supporting Woodlands Toastmasters in their ongoing journey to greatness. Our meeting was a great success, with speeches from our VPE Elaine who gave us much food for thought with regards to love, and music; Gary Tintinger who reminded us of a momentous part of South African history that saw three great world leaders in the same place at the same time; Dimitri Grekas who gave us two reasons why having eyes in the back of your head helps and Nikki Quinn who gave us a masterclass in handling and facilitating a discussion to deal with a challenging situation.
Our Very own Future champion Kazik ran the tabletopics session, and Dorothy, our newly officially installed member all the way from division Z fulfilled the role of general evaluator. All other reports and tasks were done to a high standard. Thank you to everyone that attended, may the upcoming festive season be worth the inevitable extra calories, filled with the joy and love of friends and family, and most importantly with many interesting tales that you will turn into great speeches!
